CASTL Project Manager
The Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a full-time Project Manager position to join our ECE team working with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) on a new partnership project to expand access and training for ECE teachers and leaders to implement the comprehensive birth-five STREAMin3 curriculum model. STREAMin3 is an innovative, high-quality, interaction-based curriculum grounded in developmental and early education research. The individual hired into this full-time position will work in collaboration with the Project Managers, leadership, and a highly diverse team to perform coordination, oversight, implementation, communication, and dissemination tasks related to managing this new partnership project. ECE Project Specialist
The Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for several full-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) Project Specialists to join our early childhood education (ECE) team. The work will focus on enrolling and supporting teachers and leaders to implement the comprehensive STREAMin3 curriculum model and assisting our ECE coaches in their direct work with teachers and leaders. This position will work under the guidance of the project managers and in conjunction with highly collaborative diverse teams. This work is supported through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) with the goal to provide open access to the curriculum to all publicly funded ECE programs in Virginia. Remote position with some occasional on-site (UVA/Charlottesville and other Virginia localities) work requirements.

CASTL Instructional Designer and Multi-Media Developer
The Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a full-time Instructional Design and Multi-Media Specialist with experience in instructional design, lesson creation, and multimedia development for online learning. The work will focus on providing interactive and engaging online learning experiences that support Virginia’s early childhood education leaders and teachers in their work with young children. Our aim is to support teachers in creating high quality environments that promote learning for every young child in a Virginia. Specifically, this position will support the state-wide expansion of the STREAMin3 curriculum model and the online Early Childhood Education (ECE) Resource Hub through a partnership and funding from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). Ideal candidates should have a passion for online learning, multimedia development, and the field of education, particularly in instruction and the area of early childhood education. Remote position.
CASTL Graphic Designer
The Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a Graphic Designer position who have experience working with print and digital formats. Working closely with faculty and staff, this position will involve designing an array of information and communications materials including research briefs, policy reports, presentations, newsletters, flyers, web graphics, web page designs, and email newsletters. The work will focus on presenting important research data, findings, and project information in visually effective ways. Our aim is to support teachers in creating high quality environments that promote learning for every young child in Virginia. Specifically, this position will support the statewide expansion of the STREAMin3 curriculum model and will work with faculty and staff in designing print and digital materials for media consumption. Early Childhood Education Postdoctoral Research Associate
The School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for several full-time Postdoctoral Research Associates with strong interests in early childhood education. The postdoctoral research associate will work closely with Dr. Daphna Bassok and/or Dr. Amanda Williford on large-scale projects related to early childhood education policy and practice typically embedded in partnerships with policymakers and practitioners. They will join and contribute to a large and vibrant community of researchers working on early childhood education research, and a broader community focused on developmental science and policy research. Postdoctoral research associates will become part of a network of post-doctoral trainees at the school, interacting with other post-docs working in research centers including the Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL), EdPolicyWorks, and Youth-Nex.
